About Us
Givinghood was born from the urgent need to help families trapped in stigma, limited access, and the pain of addiction and mental health struggles. A new model was needed — one that breaks barriers, connects communities, and offers real solutions.
What started as a mission has become a binational organization working across the U.S.–Mexico border. Givinghood provides accessible, holistic care that empowers individuals and families through prevention, education, counseling, training, and long-term support.
We work hand-in-hand with institutions, healthcare providers, and community leaders to expand care and build cross-border partnerships that strengthen families and communities. At the heart of Givinghood is a simple belief: every person deserves dignity, healing, and the chance to rebuild their life.
Our Mission
Our mission is to break the stigma that keeps so many from seeking help, and to create accessible, safe spaces where individuals and families receive the care and support they deserve. Through prevention, education, counseling, professional training, and long-term guidance, we walk alongside those facing addiction and mental health challenges. With strong binational partnerships and a deep commitment to dignity and healing, we build bridges across borders and restore hope one life, one family, and one community at a time.
Our Vision
We envision a world where no individual or family has to face addiction or mental health struggles alone. A world where support is not determined by income, geography, or stigma, but where every person is met with compassion, dignity, and culturally sensitive care. We imagine communities that are connected, informed, and empowered to stand together — breaking cycles of pain and building lasting pathways to healing. At Givinghood, we believe that when individuals heal, families grow stronger, and entire communities can transform. Our vision is rooted in the hope that one day, accessible and inclusive mental health care will no longer be a privilege, but a right for all.
